Week of September 1st - Brief Atrium Visits (Optional)
Level I only. Sign up for a 10 minute slot for your child to see the atrium and meet his or her catechist prior to the first day. This is recommended for young children who have never participated in a drop-off program, are shy, or have separation anxiety difficulties. Sign up here.

Week of September 8th - First Day of Atrium for New Children
If your child has never been in any level of atrium before, the first three weeks are an orientation:

New Level I children start slowly with a 45 minute session the first week, 1 hour the second week, and 1 hour 15 minutes the third week.

New Level II and III children attend the full 2 hours for first three weeks to receive foundational presentations that were missed with earlier levels.

September 19th, 6:00 - 7:00 pm  - Mandatory New Parent Meeting
A brief overview of the spirituality of the child, the basics of the Montessori and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd approach to education, and expectations for the year. At least one parent must be present. Please inquire if childcare is needed.

Week of September 29th - First Day of Atrium for Returning Children
(full two-hour sessions)

Friday October 4th - Atrium Family Night 
Mandatory Circle of Grace Safe Environment Training
Pizza served at 5:30, lessons at 6:00, dessert at 7:00

Required by the Archdiocese for all children participating in any parish activities, children will be split by grade level to receive age-appropriate lessons on their personal space (the Circle of Grace that God gives us), how to identify, discern and maintain appropriate boundaries, identify boundary violations, and how to take action if boundaries are violated or threatened. Parents are encouraged to observe and then continue the conversations at home. More details about Circle of Grace will be emailed to parents at a later date.

October 10th, 7:00 - 8:00 pm  - First Communion Parent Meeting (Zoom)
Mandatory for parents of potential first communicants to review program, calendar, and expectations. At least one parent must be present.
